cheats how? by loading the dice? by moving pieces when you aren't looking?

If you think it's loading the dice, you should record all the throws (both yours and its), and run a simple statistical analysis of it: are high numbers more likely to be thrown by xgammon than low numbers? or are low numbers more likely to be thrown by you, when playing xgammon? Are doubles more frequent than 1 throw in 6 for the computer?

Or, since this is free software, you could read the source and compile it yourself. Heck, you could give yourself all double-sixes!

The dice will almost 'fortunately' roll for the programm.
If i'm on the bank i can roll 4, 5 or even more times. When the xgammon is on the bank, it almost just happes right and so on. Maybe i'm insane too. In my opinion xgammon is a joke. But its fun anyway.

Me again. :)

I played the game several hundred times. I'm now convinced the program is cheating. Exmpl. If you hit one of the programs stones on the third field to your home, on the last bank, the program rolls to a >90% chance a six if one stone is left in your home field at poition/bank one. So you will lose your hit-stone to a chance of about 90%. But there are a lot more hints of cheating than this.

Eternal complaint of weak players. Chess programs don't cheat. You would get the same feeling playing against a word class player. They just know how to move their checkers in order to take advantage of most rolls.

Erm, you said, "totally insane" - well simply "mistaken" would be more accurate. No world class player thinks it cheats, wonder why. You'd have to be in that position 1000 times to see how often the bot rolls a 6. I've used it - it doesn't cheat. Improve your backgammon, read, study, and understand.

Sorry, I thought you meant "EXtreme Gammon", but every serious tournament BG player who plays online or against bots is familiar with claims of "cheating" - all without foundation - but tell me where to download xgammon and I'll try it out. Anyway, get free GNU backgammon, or free 14 - day ExtremeGammon. Better.
