I wish there were more articles more often

It is a rare treat to click over to debian-administration.org and see new articles there on the home page. Too rare. I wish there were more, and more often.

There are as many articles as people write, so if none are written none appear hear. Everyone is more than welcome to submit something, people don't get their head bitten off for submitting articles.

I currently owe several articles, but I've had issues at home and work for the last few months that have eaten up all available a time.

I would also say that to some extent the weblogs have reduced the article traffic as is easier to post a short comment or tip as we weblog rather than an article. It's not necessarily a bad thing but it does have the effect of reducing the apparent rate of new articles.

Your points about weblogs are noted. It makes me wonder if there's a moderator here who could front-page the best of the weblogs so great blogs get attention and it doesn't give the site the appearance of little or no activity. It would also encourage creativity by giving good articles the award of a prestigious place on the front page!

If you add the word tip as a weblog's tag, then tips automatically show up on the right hand side of the front page. It's not quite as visible as new article but it's better than nothing and comes for free.

As for me, I read almost every weblog if it sounds only a little interresting, except from a couple users which tend to write more about pollitical and religiouse matters. but I even need to give them/him credit, they make me think every once awhile.

I also tend to read most blogs and I even try to comment/help when I can. Some are sometimes straying a bit from Debian but they are personal and people should be entitled to say what they want as long as they remain civil.

I know I owe at least two articles. Getting evicted and having to find a new home didn't help... At least we now have a new house, no garden but it's a lot warmer than the old one.
