Oh let's see!

I'm a Windows bastard by trade. I've been using VB, Java, C#, ASP, etc... for about 12 years now. I'm finally coming out of my coccoon and I am exploring Linux starting to see what all the hype is about.

My last experiance with Linux was in college studying Computer Science at UNLV where my entire interaction with a Linux box consisted of opening an emacs session compiling my code for assignments then booting back into Windows to e-mail the work to my professor. Lame I know.

About 3 years ago I gave up on everything else in my life to chase a 6-year old dream of being the defacto platform for running in car computer systems in Taxicabs. Almost 10 years invested all together and I'm in the lead. My product has been designed from the ground up to meet every need in the for-hire vehicle environment. Our company is not the only company in the game, but it's hands down the best at delivery.

Of course right now it runs on Windows XPE and MS SQL Server. However, that might be changing rapidly.

I'm going to be asking a lot of stupid questions and have a bad habit of asking a question before I look for the answer. Thereby I sometimes find the answer right after I asked someone else. This is a flaw, I'm working on it, but if you can't handle this type of person you might avoid me so I don't frustrate you.

Anything I can do to help let me know. I like to be useful, I am so green in this arena though I don't know if am able to. YET!!!

Weekend projects that I am currently playing with include Bluetooth technology and MySpace Apps design. If you're into the MySpace Apps you can find me at MarcSpace

Ciao,

Marc
