I would like to submit an article, if only my english would be so good, everyone could understand. I write an german article in 1.5 an hour but in english I need one day...

What are these adverts you mention?

Anyone can run a site out of their own pocket and on their own time until it becomes popular, when it just starts to get expensive and time consuming.

I don't begrudge anyone using advertising or sponsorship to cover their costs, if the site is good and the adverts aren't intrusive.

As I use Adblock and NoScript I don't normally see adverts anyway. I only block ads at the moment because the ads themselves have become annoying. I'll unblock adverts when advertisers learn to not be arse-holes.
